We guarantee that every puppy is healthy when it leaves our kennel. If you take your puppy to the vet within 3 days after you pick up the puppy, and the vet finds an unforeseen congenital abnormality, we will either refund your money or allow you to pick out a different puppy, as available. Our puppies & dogs have not been exposed to infectious diseases here. If your puppy is exposed to an infectious disease after it leaves here, this is not covered under the health guarantee. Please pay particular attention to this if you have recently lost a dog or puppy! Infectious diseases are not covered by our health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home. We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develope any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develope any health problems in the future. Some things are just not able to be predicted.
If this dog dies unexpectedly, before 6 month of age, an autopsy and Board Certified
Veterinary letter confirming cause of death to be genetic or of a physical defect, must be
presented to the seller within 3 days of death. Seller option choice: 100% refund or a
replacement animal of the next available like prospect.
Our parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems, or we would not breed them. All parents have had their hips OFA'D or PENN-HIPPED normal. That means the puppies are less likely to develope problems. However, it doesn't guarantee they will never develope a problem.
We require EVERY buyer to make an appointment with the vet before you ever pick up your puppy. We also encourage everyone to set up a regular veterinarian care schedule and make sure you keep up with the puppy shots, following the Dr. Jean Dodd's protocol (found on the FAQ"s page) Have your pet checked regularly for heartworms.
When you buy a puppy, you will receive an inoculation records envelope, with dates and ages. You can put your future records, and vet information inside the envelope and keep it for future reference. Please take the envelope with you to the vet's office. That way, he will know the vaccines, wormers, etc that your pet has already had and will not inadvertently give him something the puppy doesn't need. You will also be provided with the Dr. Jean Dodd's vaccination protocol, which MUST be adhered to for the health and welfare of your puppy.
If at anytime during the life of the puppy/dog you find you can no longer care for him/her (for whatever reason) you agree to return the animal to the breeder, Joyce Cravens at Keystone Airedales.
